Everything needed to get you going and out there catching fish.
This Package comes with floating line but can be exchanged for sinking, please specify in the notes section at checkout or send us an email if you want sinking line instead.
The Rod

Every detail has been thoughtfully engineered, from the hand-turned real burlwood reel seat insert to the custom-designed cork grip with signature accents. At the core of the rod, the blank received the same uncompromising attention. Using our next-level technology, we’ve optimized weight reduction, sensitivity, swing weight, and recovery speed to produce smooth loading, fast recovery, and consistent, accurate casts across a wide range of fishing situations.
At 8 feet 6 inches, this 4 weight hits the sweet spot between finesse and power. It excels on small to medium rivers, spring creeks, and still waters where control, mending ability, and presentation matter, but where a bit more backbone is welcome. The added power of a 4wt makes it especially effective in wind, with slightly larger flies, or when fishing heavier nymph rigs—without sacrificing touch or feel.
This rod is ideal for targeting trout of all species, including rainbow, brown, brook, and cutthroat trout, along with panfish such as bluegill and crappie. It’s also a great choice for grayling, smallmouth bass, and other light freshwater species. The 4wt provides enough authority to handle larger fish and small streamers while still protecting light tippets and making average-sized fish a blast to fight.

The Reel
The Maverick doesn't fit the mold when is comes to standard fly reel design. It utilizes a semi-frame design to reduce weight and give full exposure to both front and back spool rims. The drag adjustment knob is located inside the frame and can be easily adjusted from the back. This placement of the drag knob shifts the center of gravity to the center of the reel making it perfectly balanced. The reel is fully machined from high quality bar stock (not a brittle casting) and assembled with sealed bearings for the smoothest operation. This frame doesn’t just look good. The contoured back surfaces and the X design combine to make Maverick’s frame very rigid. The spool rims have been designed with a larger cross section to increase strength and make it easier to palm and apply additional drag when needed. The double carbon disc sealed drag requires virtually no start-up inertia. Sealed and saltwater friendly. Can be converted to right or left hand retrieve.
The Line
