In this package we've included an Outlaw Rogue Edition 5wt 8’ fiberglass Fly Rod, a Qualifly Razorback 4-6 Fly Reel, Pure Drift floating Fly Line, and backing. Everything needed to get you going and out there catching fish. This Package comes with floating line but can be exchanged for sinking, please specify in the notes section at checkout or send us an email if you want sinking line.
The Rod

From the hand-turned burlwood reel seat insert to the custom-designed cork grip with premium accents, every detail reflects top-tier craftsmanship. Most importantly, the rod blank itself is built from our proprietary fiberglass blend, engineered to deliver exceptional casting accuracy and smooth, controlled performance.
This custom fiberglass construction provides a full-flex profile that excels in dry fly presentations and situations where delicacy and precision matter most. Compared to carbon fiber or graphite, fiberglass offers a smoother, more forgiving feel with a deeper flex—making it both tough and incredibly enjoyable to cast.
The 5wt 8ft configuration is ideal for small trout, panfish, and other light freshwater species. Its shorter length makes it perfect for tight quarters—small creeks, brush-lined rivers, and overgrown banks where a standard 9-foot rod can feel cumbersome.

The Reel
The Razorback utilizes new concepts in fly reel design. The use of Qualifly's new cone drive gives the Razorback an incredibly strong and stable feel. It eliminates the effects of torque and shock by providing additional surface contact and by locking the spool into place on a conical cylinder. The drive cylinder is grooved to prevent taper lock and provides for easy removal of the spool.
Qualifly's new drag utilizes multiple carbon discs to apply smooth stopping power. It is fully sealed and can be used in saltwater. They even seal there reverse direction bearing. This gives them one of the most robust and watertight drags on the market today.
When you look at the Razorback, you might think where is the drag knob? After years of customer feedback and our own experience from thousands of hours on the water, we decided to make the entire back of our new reel a smooth, easily adjusting drag knob. The drag knob is assembled with no visible screws or nuts, allowing for a beautiful, streamline watertight profile.
The spool is fully ported and balanced. The Razorback comes in 3 color combinations, black/silver, burnt orange/silver and green/silver. YOU WILL NEED TO CHOOSE THE COLOR YOU WANT AT CHECKOUT
